DOG BITES MAN IN CROWN HEIGHTS
Tuesday, July 8, 2008 8:45pm: A Crown Heights resident was walking down Crown Street between Albany and Troy Avenue when a dog jumped at him and bit him. The owner of the dog was taking it for a walk without a leash to restrain it. When the bitten man began addressing the owner of the dog the woman grabbed her dog and began to flee.
The injured man called Crown Heights Shmira. Shmira members responded to the scene within seconds and immediately dispatched Hatzalah, one of the members flagged down an NYPD patrol car. Moments later Hatzalah arrived on scene and began treating the patient. Meanwhile multiple Shmira members were canvassing the area in search for the owner of the dog. Hatzalah volunteers dressed the wound however the patient refused to be transported to the Hospital. The NYPD Officers filled out an aided card but the owner of the dog got away.
