Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at approximately 7:00 PM A Crown Heights Shmira member was on the way home from work when he noticed a struggle transpiring inside a pawn shop on Flatbush Avenue between Winthrop and Hawthorn Streets. He quickly pulled over to investigate and upon closer inspection saw the assailant holding a hammer.
Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at approximately 12:30 PM A Crown Heights resident noticed a group of four teens walking up to a porch on Carroll Street between Albany and Troy Avenues and taking three scooters. As the group was leaving the property they noticed they were being watched and dropped two of scooters and made off toward Troy Avenue.
As a special tribute to the men in blue for putting their lives on the line every day, Crown Heights Shmira went to the 77th Pct to convey our thanks personally. Many Shmira members including coordinators and Rabbi Eli Cohen from the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council were in attendance.
