Fraud Alert!

Thursday, October 16, 2014 at approximately 3:00PM: A young man posing as a religious Jew went into Young Timers located at 389 Kingston Avenue and told the clerk that he was collecting for a sick child. When the clerk turned around to get some money he quickly snatched her cell phone that was lying on the counter and placed it in his pocket. The clerk, unaware of what had transpired, gave the man a donation and he quickly left with the money and cell phone. After a brief time, the clerk noticed the missing phone and called the Crown Heights Shmira hotline. Shmira members quickly responded and began looking for the thief, but he had fled the area. After retrieving the footage from outside the store we are now posting his photo. A Police report has been filed.
