Thank You letter from grateful resident

September 29, 2008 Filed under Shmira News

I would like to thank Crown Heights Shmira for helping me out last Motzei Shabbos. I called the Shmira hotline saying that my bike had just been stolen and Shmira responded with dozens of Unit’s. They canvassed the area for 3 hours looking for my bike, but the thief was gone. The story doesn’t end there, the next day I saw the thief with my bike on Montgomery St., so I called Shmira again and when I hung up the phone with the Shmira Dispatcher, there were already Shmira units on scene chasing the thief. I was also chasing the thief while screaming Chaptzem & Help.

Subject: Shmira came to my house this morning

Hey Yossi,

I left the door to my house wide open!

My older sister who has Downs Syndrome has been visiting with me for a week. she was scheduled to leave from Newark yesterday and when we drove down from the Monsey area – we could not find the airport… it was like it was hiding so my sister could stay an extra day… so I re-scheduled her and the only flight they would give me without charging another full fare was 6:15 this morning. I was determined to get her there on time, but I still wanted a few hours sleep so we left the house at 4:15. She takes extra time at both check in and security. Two hours was definitely doable but I knew I had to stay focused to get everything to run smoothly.
