Woman Assaulted on Eastern Pkwy

Thursday, August 07, 2014 at 5:54PM The Shmira hot line received a call about a woman that was assaulted. The woman had been walking on Eastern Parkway near Rogers Avenue when a group of six females approached her and one of them punched her in the face while screaming anti-Semitic slurs.

Numerous Shmira members and police officers responded to the location and after getting a description of the perpetrators immediately began to canvass the area. In the meantime, Police officers took the victim into a police car to search for the group.

After a quick search, Shmira members noticed a group matching the description given on Troy Avenue near Lincoln Place and notified Police. The police brought the victim and she was able to positively identify the attacker after which she was placed under arrest by officers from the 77th Pct.
