Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at approximately 7:00 PM A Crown Heights Shmira member was on the way home from work when he noticed a struggle transpiring inside a pawn shop on Flatbush Avenue between Winthrop and Hawthorn Streets. Fraud Alert

The two woman pictured above have been attempting to pass fake $100 bills when buying small ticket items in order to get the change. The Counterfeit Detector Pen does not detect their fakes. They are described as 2 female Hispanics approximately 30 years of age. height 5’5, light skin complexion, one female has dark brown hair with blond hair endings carrying a blue pocketbook, the other female has dark brown hair.

Ride-by Knockout

Tuesday, October 14, 2014 approximately 7:30PM: A male black was riding a bike on East New York Avenue between Kingston and Brooklyn Avenues when he punched a young girl in the face knocking her over. There was no attempted robbery, only an unprovoked act of hate against a stranger. Shmira members responded and canvassed the area with the victim for a while but the perpetrator had fled the area. Serial Burglar Apprehended

Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at approximately 11:00PM a patrolling Shmira/COP member noticed a suspicious male black entering a house on Kingston Avenue between Montgomery and Crown Streets. The Shmira member immediately called it in to the central hotline. While backup was on the way the suspect exited the house carrying a box and a bag that he didn’t have with him upon entering the house. The Shmira member attempted to approach and ask the suspect what he was doing in the house when the suspect immediately began to flee. A chase ensued, but ended quickly with the help of some passersby near mikvah meir.
